Equity Shares and Share Capital are one
and the same. Credit Unions have shareholders, however
our shareholders are our members, unlike the large financial
institutions where you are a customer and most shareholders
are large corporations. Each member, upon joining All
Trans must purchase 20 shares valued at $5.00 each.
This totals $100 and is your share in the credit Union.
It remains in an account called Equity Shares and when
dividends are paid they are deposited here. This is
your stake in All Trans Financial Services Credit Union
, and will be returned to you upon death or the closing
of your account. Being a shareholder gives you privileges,
opportunities and responsibilities. As a shareholder
you have the privilege of attending our Annual General
Meeting and voting in the election of new Board members
and the acceptance of new by-laws. As a shareholder
